the complete moronic state of our society has left me with a hoarse voice. hoarse in real life and hoarse via the interwebs.

i feel like throwing my hands up in the air and saying I FUCKING QUIT, YOU FUCKING MINDLESS, INVISIBLE SKY DADDY LOVING TWERPS.

it seems like every single day there is a new wave, a new attack on logic and reason being waged. sometimes the battlefield is a school. sometimes it's a woman's womb. honestly, the "war zone" can be any-fucking-where these days.

today it just happens to be utah.

it's shit like this that really gets me pissy.

y'know, in real life, i'm a very nice guy. i'm polite. i'm conscious of my surroundings, of how my actions may affect others. i'm not perfect, but i'm very AWARE of how my existence needs to be in tune with my environment. i don't try to force my ideas or beliefs on anyone. i keep to myself. sure i use this space as a sounding board for what is on my mind at any given time, but i don't go knockin' down peoples' doors, tellin' them how they should live.

unfortunately, i'm in the minority. the majority, on the other hand, finds it NECESSARY to police my sexy time parts, to crawl up inside womanhood's vaj and make decisions for her without her input. the majority tells our youth they should believe in invisible friends who practice bad science and that if they're good and do what they're told, they'll be able to live forever and maybe even get 72 virgins to fuck for eternity.

it leaves me tired. it leaves me sad.

i think i already know the answer to this question, but i still have to ask it: will the blanket idiocy EVER go away?

then i thought, how the hell did they get these things on the poles in the first place? did they knit them on? couldn't help but chuckle at the thought.

which led to the very rational thinking that possibly the person (or persons) who did this think that these inanimate objects actually are cold and have feelings. it wouldn't be unheard of, considering the pure stupidity of the masses.

the difference between the average joe and the average politician (almost qualified that with "corrupt" but isn't that redundant?) is that the average joe is going to suffer for it while the average politician gets to keep his cushy job with his cushy perks and his cushy summer home.

Statism and the fallacy of god

politically, i'm a left leaner, but the more i educate myself, the more i question the validity of the state.

my liberty guru wrote a great piece on the similarities between the two, and i think you will find it equally eye-opening.

the comment section gets a bit rowdy. i try not to get into arguments/debates where i am not well informed enough to be taken seriously, but i always marvel at those who do. one commenter went so far as to explain how god works.

i find it infinitely frustrating that believers say they know so fucking much about their precious, delusionoid GOD and how he works and why he does what he does... yet they can't seem to provide any elementary evidence of his existence.

that seems like a lot of wasted time and energy if you ask me, to spend so much time "understanding" and "knowing" something one can't even fucking prove is there.

Society reeks of the weak.

They might not be everywhere all the time, but the stench of just one weak minded individual has the ability to stamp out all that is good in any given arena, be it physical or mental.

Sometimes the weak throw beer on ballplayers from the bleachers, sometimes they issue fatwas because someone exercised creative license in regard to an archaic lifestyle, and sometimes they walk into Safeway and murder people in droves.

While such instances might not seem like everyday occurrences, let me assure you, they are.  We might not hear about every instance, every day, from every corner of the planet; but it seems that the inability to exact rational thought is something that has hindered mankind since... well... since even before we were called 'mankind'.

Okay, then, what the hell can we do about it?  What is the solution?  The problem is easily identified, but how do we even begin the process of fixing it?

I don't have the answer. 

Apparently, no one does.

Tragedy continues to strike at the sloppy hands of the weak.

We may not have the answers yet, but if we make a stronger effort to think, to listen, to have compassion for our fellow man -- on an individual level -- maybe progress can be made.

At the very least, making a personal vow to do the above is a proactive step.  And as a species, we need to be as proactive as we possibly can, before it's too late.

We MUST implement this!

i cannot tell you just how disturbed i am, every day, waking up knowing that the vast majority of people who run my government and make important decisions (y'know, like havin' a finger hoverin' over the big, red button!!!!) are heavily influenced -- if not totally influenced -- by the atrocities, idiocy and ridiculousness of bronze age fairy tales!

that is some real, scary, shit.
